We are pleased to announce that we have become a Bronze Business Champion at Pure Insight a local charity dedicated to supporting care experienced young people to thrive.

Established in 2013, the charity operates in the local communities in and around Stockport, right where Red Rose and many of its team members reside.

Sharon Garner, Director, Red Rose Packaging commented; “Pure Insight is a superb organisation that works in the heart of our community supporting vulnerable young people to have the best chance of success in their adult lives. We are pleased to join their Business Champions Community and offer our support in their ongoing activities.”

Each year thousands of young people leave foster care or children’s homes, many affected by childhood trauma, neglect, and abuse. Pure Insight supports over 500 care leavers in the North West each year, aged 16-25, helping them make a successful transition to adulthood.  

They do this by:

• Helping care leavers build relationships, belonging and purpose through 1-1 mentoring programmes, group activities, and drop-in cafés – all offered in the long term.
• Helping care leavers to thrive through the support of a Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing Service.

Last year, through their long-term community mentoring programme 90% of the young people they worked with reported improved independent living skills and 98% of young people supported by their mental health and wellbeing outreach service said their mental health had improved.
